Ras na hEireann has lost our dear friend Larry McGuill who created Ras na hEireann and was race director since the first Ras in 1970. Larry passed on Saturday July 30, 2011. Larry was a great visionary and leader in Irish athletics. At this year’s Ras na hEireann, we will celebrate his life, his commitment to people and all the great accomplishments he achieved in his lifelong commitment to athletics. We will miss you Larry but we will never forget you and what you have done in your wonderful lifetime.
